Third, test preparation

1 , solid core conductor

   ( 1 ) Sampling: 3 pieces of specimens are cut from one end of the inspection sample. The length of the specimen is the length of the original gage length plus twice the grip length of the jaws. Samples must be protected from stretching, twisting, bending, and other equipment damage.

   ( 2 ) Straightening the test piece: Carefully straighten by hand, if necessary, you can also gently tap the test piece with a wooden file. If only the tensile strength is measured, the test piece may not be straightened.

   ( 3 ) Mark the gauge length: Mark the original gauge length 200mm in the middle of the straight specimen. The marking method should not cause early fracture of the specimen, and the marking line should be fine and clear. Gauge length error: positive and negative 0.2mm for hard-wired test specimens, plus or minus 0.5mm for flexible-wire test specimens.

2 , Stranded conductor

   ( 1 ) Sampling: 3 specimens are cut from the samples that pass the inspection. The length of the specimen is the length of the original gauge length plus twice the grip length of the jaws.

   ( 2 ) Specimen processing: Untie the strands at both ends of the test piece, separate and bend into round hooks, and after washing, fill the end of the vertebral body with a low melting alloy or resin. Can also be made by crimping or jigging.

3 , test steps

   ( 1 ) Hold the test piece in the jaws of the device. The mark line should be exposed at the jaws. The position must be such that the longitudinal axis of the test piece coincides with the centerline of the tension.

   ( 2 ) selected stretching speed

   ( 3 ) Turn on the device, and the load should be stable, uniform speed, and no impact.

   ( 4 ) When the specimen is stretched and fractured, read and record the maximum load, taking the 35 effective number. Remove the specimen and carefully align the fracture, squeeze tightly, measure and record the final gauge length.
